Monday, May 29, 2017, 09:00-10:00
Mobility of students and internationalisation is an issue Universities have been supporting for a long time. Especially the Erasmus Programme of the European Union had a significant impact on student mobility. With the rise of eLearning and especially MOOCs the term mobility changes its notion: virtual mobility allows co-operation between several universities by sharing courses, virtual seminar series, virtual placement as well as virtual support activities for physical mobility. Virtual mobility involves as well focus on intercultural exchange.
Alastair will present and discuss the challenges and experience so far concerning virtual mobility in higher education. He is involved in the following projects:
- Open Networked Learning course
- Global Classroom project at Linnaeus University
This open webinar is part of a course at Salzburg University about communication in MOOCs. Students participate at international MOOCs and reflect communication and learning processes.
